Building your herd—your list of clients, contacts, and community members—is central to having a successful law office. Here are three more tips on how you can increase your numbers and increase your chances of finding ideal clients and cases:

  • Create a brand. Take inspiration from some of the most successful companies out there today, like Apple, Amazon, and Zappos: having a recognizable brand that people respect is half the battle. It is easier to build your herd if the other members of the herd can easily and clearly sing your praises.

  • Establish yourself as an authority. You want to be the go-to attorney in your area—the person that everyone thinks of when your niche is mentioned. People always want to know the people who are in the know. They will follow you on social media platforms and become familiar with your name.

  • Enlist the help of everyone in your office. Herds aren’t just people who contact your firm, people in your industry, and people who you interact with on social media websites—they are also the friends and family of everyone involved with your law office. Building a big herd is a group project.

Remember: a herd is built one person at a time. Every interaction you have counts, and often one herd member will recruit other herd members—especially if you nurture them and do a great job when they recommend you to others.

Is your herd looking a little scraggly? We can help. Call Great Legal Marketing today at 888-791-2150 to learn even more about how to gain a following and how to turn that following into great clients.
