Before you start, you will need a file with your firm logo and a Facebook account. If you don't have a Facebook account, you will be able to create one.

To get started, go to Facebook.com and follow these easy steps:

  1. If you are a Facebook user and you are logged in, log out.

  2. Click on "Create A Page." This is just below the "Sign Up" button.

  3. Click on "Local Business or Place."

  4. Add your contact information, then read and agree to Facebook terms.

  5. Click on "Get Started."

  6. If you don't have a current Facebook account, you will be asked to create one. If you have an account, log in.

  7. Load your logo.

  8. You will be asked to invite friends or import contacts. Skip this step until you have some content on your page. Once you've added some posts, you can send a notification to your email contact list to let clients and potential clients know that you now have a Facebook page.

  9. Add your website and write a brief summary describing your firm.
