In order for law firm newsletter to be part of your great legal marketing plan it must be read. If it is written, printed, mailed, and promptly thrown in the trash can, then the effort and expense of developing the newsletter has done nothing to further your law firm marketing goals. While you can’t create a newsletter that will be read by every recipient, you can increase the frequency with which your newsletter is read by:
  • Creating a Great Layout. Make it fun and visually attractive! Include pictures and short blocks of text. Don’t make it look like it is work to read and understand.
  • Sending your Newsletter at the Right Frequency. The trick is not to send out a newsletter every week, but rather every couple of months or quarterly, so that people look forward to receiving it.
  • Being Fun and Interesting. Show off your personality and engage your readers. This is not the time to write a compelling legal brief.

There is no magic formula that will lead you to create a great legal marketing newsletter. The key is to be different, show your personality, and engage your readers. You can either do this by creating your own attorney marketing newsletter, or you can hire an experienced legal marketing consultant to create a unique newsletter designed just for your firm.

If you are with a small law firm of five or fewer lawyers and you are interested in learning more about how a legal marketing consultant may be able to help you then please call us today at 703.591.9829.
