The team at Great Legal Marketing is constantly consuming new marketing material which leads to new ideas and marketing techniques, but with a small team everyone was stretched thin with their current tasks, so all of the intellectual property created from events and idea creation was continuously pushed aside, collecting dust on the figurative shelf it was put on. The team of Great Legal Marketing decided that product creation was important enough to have a person dedicated to that job. That’s where Maria comes in! Her day-to-day tasks include inventory management, direct mail lead generation, and most importantly, going through the start to finish process of creating an info product.

Maria is a recent college graduate from Longwood University where she received a double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology. She was born and raised in Eastern Virginia and then decided to move to Northern Virginia following graduation because it was the perfect distance away from her parents (close enough to drive, but far enough away that you have to plan trips).  

Before graduation, Maria wanted to become a detective. While attending university, she completed an internship at the Virginia Beach Police Department where she simultaneously developed a newfound respect for the work of police officers while also finding extreme clarity that she never wanted to become one. Not sure of what she wanted to do after college, Maria always knew that her ideal career revolved less around what she was doing and more about who she was doing it with.

While scouring Indeed, Maria found an unusually long post that stood out and she knew immediately that she wanted to work there. Even though she had never thought about pursuing a marketing career, she could feel the passion and depth from the job post and thought “I want to work with whoever wrote that.”  As it turns out, her lack of marketing experience proved helpful because Charley could now mold her into the marketer that best fits the role needed for the company – no need to unteach bad habits. Boldly, she did not apply to a single place after placing her application with Great Legal Marketing.

Being in her early twenties and new to living on her own, Maria appreciates the endless patience of her team when she asks numerous questions about the ins and outs of marketing as well as life questions such as, “How exactly does one set up a new primary care physician?” and “So what exactly caused the recession in 2008?” Maria feels very inspired by both the Great Legal Marketing team as well as the members, who continuously strive for success, are resilient in the face of failure, and are forever learners.
