How many times do you go and check out a lawyer's website and right there, on the front page, they are telling you how great they are? Do you know why lots of websites do this? It's because we all like to see great things written about us. We show our friends, spouses and parents.

"Go look at my new website."

Problem is not just that this is boring. No, it's worse. The problem is that no one except you,  your spouse and your parents really care about how great you are. You RUN from THAT guy at a party: "Hi, my name is Billy and I sell insurance. Let me tell you all about all the sales awards I have."

When a visitor comes to your site they are looking for answers to their problems. You'd better capture their attention fast, help them solve their problem and convince them to stick around because you've "got more."
