Most search engines offer free tracking software, but you still need to set it up and learn how to use it. Google also offers a free tool known as Google Analytics that may be useful for tracking the performance of pay-per-click advertising.
Review Google AdWords Reports. Google AdWords is another free tool from Google that help you figure out how your ads are performing. Different AdWords Reports can analyze different aspects of your ad. For example, a placement/keyword report will analyze your keywords, an ad performance report will analyze your ad and a URL performance report will analyze your landing pages.
