Keep the Blog Ideas Coming & Improve Your Legal Marketing Campaign

Do you remember when it was enough to simply have a website with a few pages of content and fancy graphics? Well, things have changed and so should your legal marketing campaign. Search engines constantly scour the Internet, looking for websites that update their content regularly. Since most people are searching online to locate attorneys in their areas, you need to make sure they find you.

You have to continuously add content to your website, if you want the major search engines to reward you with one of those top spots in search results. That means you need to be creating blog entries, articles and more.

But, how do I come up with content ideas?

One of the biggest challenges with blogging and article writing is coming up with ideas. How many times can you write about personal injury claims? Here are some tips that might make it just a little easier to overcome writer’s block:

  1. Look for opportunities around you. Treat each call, email or Web form that comes into the office as a possible content idea. You may be able to transform a question asked by a prospect into a “teaching point” for your blog.
  2. Keep a file of ideas. Don’t wait until it is time to start blogging to try to come up with topics. If you read an interesting news story that you think would be applicable to your target market, store it in a file for later use.
  3. Hire someone to help you get things done. Who says you have to be the one who does everything? Find someone who can help you generate ideas and create content that will attract more visitors to your website.
  4. Repurpose content ideas. If you wrote about a great topic in your newsletter, create a blog entry about it, or vice versa. In fact, you can even tie your newsletter articles and blogs together. End a newsletter article by saying, “read more by visiting my blog at...”
