YOUR FACILITATORS

Ben Glass

Ben founded Great Legal Marketing in 2004 as a way to teach personal injury attorneys how to advertise more effectively. Soon thereafter, lawyers in other consumer facing practice areas began to ask, “Will this work for me?

The answer is "yes," and as a result Great Legal Marketing continues to grow.

Celebrating 40 years of practice, Ben has over 25+ years of practice ownership experience, as well as 20+ years of experience coaching law firm owners just like you. He’s appeared on over 25 podcasts inside and outside the legal industry, and was recently invited to speak to a meeting with some of the largest law firms in the country. Ben isn’t looking to the past, though, he’s looking forward to a prosperous and exciting future.

Brian Glass

Brian is the rare trial lawyer who is as good at business as he is in the courtroom. He had the highest reported auto accident verdict in Virginia in 2022 and has increased the revenue of the personal injury section at Ben Glass Law by 383% since joining the firm in 2019.

Oh, and he did it while coaching two youth soccer teams, travelling to three out-of-state Spartan races, taking more time off with his family than ever before, and acquiring his ninth and tenth streams of passive income.

As a thought leader in the fields of business-building and wealth creation, Brian is passionate in sharing his ideas and helping other lawyers achieve success. Brian has the talent and the experience to help you build a law firm that serves your life.

Running A Law Firm Is So Much Better When You Have A Group Of True Peers

From the Desk of GLM Founder & Attorney, Ben Glass

Dear fellow small law firm owner,

Do you ever feel like you're working on your own little island where nobody else around you truly gets it?

Your employees have one world view. Your spouse has another. Your friends another. Your vendor partners, another still.

You can't talk to any of them and get valuable feedback on the problems you're trying to solve because they don't live in the same world as you.

That's not a rub against any of them; it's just a truth.

Only other law firm owners who are facing the same challenges and opportunities as you are able to relate... and offer valuable advice, insights, and ideas.

Having a group of true peers of law firm owners has radically changed my life, and the lives of hundreds of our Mastermind clients over the years. Will it change yours?

You did not become an owner of your own law firm only to build the prison of a job, yet this is what most lawyers have built – even as they grow the revenue of the firm, they find themselves trapped in a job where they are working full-time as a lawyer, full-time as a CEO/Leader, and often full-time as a parent. Leadership must simultaneously function in three places – present, immediate future, and 3 to 7 years in the future.

That’s very challenging to do well and almost impossible to do while also managing cases and clients. If you are always exhausted from trying to do all of this, then the quality of your life is poor. Poor quality of life can be fixed, but it won’t fix itself.

The thing is, there are no books on this. No one or two-day seminars could possibly go into the depth necessary to not only teach but to actually live this experience. If more information were the answer, we’d all be billionaires with six-pack abs. And yet, every day it seems there are new gurus and wannabe “coaches” and (even) Facebook groups masquerading as being able to deliver to you the “how-to” of a low-maintenance, high-profit business through the latest AI widget. The truth is that they can’t because this requires work on your part. Nothing beats being in a group that will push you to levels far beyond where you are today.

Spontaneous combustion is the benefit of a well-run, high-level Mastermind meeting. And you can’t appreciate it until they've experienced it. It's what makes the experience different and differently valuable than one-on-one “coaching”. By the melding of the minds in the group, by the focus of all their thinking and varied experience on a single member's law firm, and the subject for discussion he or she has chosen, insights occur spontaneously that might never occur otherwise.

We call these “Oh $hit” moments.

Where one person's question or comments sparks another's, which sparks another's, and ultimately brand new and unforeseen solutions, common strategies, and opportunities are ignited. It actually is an explosive situation, in a very good way. I find that my own reservoir of knowledge and experience is plumbed, probed, and drawn from by the group in ways that are never topped by just a single call or a single individual.

There is unique efficiency in getting together for eight focused days during the year. Getting out and away from your regular day-to-day activities, away from interruptions and disruption, to work "on, not in" the law firm in this environment can produce more clarity and actionable strategy than what would come from 60 days of self-study woven inside your busy life.

You won’t get this sitting next to someone in a seminar. Top mastermind members are much more adept at leveraging everything they have to work with than are other people, and they are more intentional about creating assets conducive to leverage.

You won’t find this in the outside world. “Masterminding” is NOT “networking.”

Finally, there is competition in a group like this. No one wants to be the laggard. Everyone wants to be known as the firm solving the largest problems with the greatest innovation. That's good – it stimulates everybody to do more, get smarter, and bring more.

So, what do you say, will you join us?
